A graduate of Fordham University and New York Law School, Teresa is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Queens Bar Association, the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, where she served for many years on the Board of Directors, and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. She is also an original member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and a founding member of the New York Chapter of the Association of Family Conciliation Courts where she serves as Treasurer. Teresa is also a Adjunct Professor at St. John's University School of Law.  

Teresa began her career in divorce and family law in 1981. In 1996 she discovered a more humane and practical way to handle such cases and started a mediation practice. She was trained in Collaborative Law in 2001. Whether acting as a mediator for a divorcing couple, an attorney in a contested divorce or a collaborative lawyer for one spouse, her goal is to have an amicable, less expensive divorce by using common sense, maintaining civility (between the clients and the lawyers), sharing information and encouraging understanding. Where children are involved there is a special emphasis on protecting them from the harmful effects of divorce. Teresa has lived in the Bayside area of Queens since 1978 where she maintains a private practice.
